"Liuwina" is old norse and literally translates into 'life's friend' or 'companion of life'. Ever since she was a child, she showed a great talent for singing, and was often chosen for technical difficult songs in school plays, and would always love to be on stage. At family gatherings, she would always make people sit down and look at her performances. She always wanted to be the center of attention, when it came to singing or performing.
In her teenage years, she showed a great talent for singing songs exactly like the original singer, which would always impress people around her. She improved her vocals by listening and copying her favourite musicians.
Liuwina had always enjoyed writing poems, so taking the next step and creating lyrics was a natural thing for her to do. Though without the proper knowledge of playing musical instruments, she felt that she was unable to create music for real. Though she kept on writing lyrics and trying to record her vocals whenever she had an idea for a new melody. Though it wasn't until moving to Japan in 2010-2011 that she started working on her own music seriously. There she was able to connect with a songwriter/producer called Yamazaki Toshi, and together they created 3 demo songs; "Without You", "A Little Love" and "Reaching for the Stars". While in Japan, Liuwina also joined a band called R.I.O, who specialised in anime music covers. They had 2 live shows in September 2011, in Tokyo, and of course, she was singing in Japanese.
In December 2012 she decided to return to Japan to work on her musical career in Tokyo. She lived in Japan for almost 4 years, working with a Japanese producer to finish her 10 track debut album, which was released on February 14th 2017. While working on her album, she founded the band "Aurora" with 4 talented musicians, and they performed live at several live houses in Tokyo greater area. Finally she decided to move back to Denmark again, to pursue a musical career in her home country. "Music means the world to me, and I will do whatever it takes to live out my dreams." - Liuwina
